Kroger aims to introduce robots to get ahead in the race with Amazon. Twenty grocery warehouses which would be automated are planned to be released in the United States. Kroger is doing this in partnership with Ocado Group. Kroger manager of Southfield area has been accused of having assaulted few boys regarding parking of their bikes. Police was informed who came to Kroger, 12 Mile, and Evergreen Roads, to investigate. The two bys namely, Braedon Barkley, 12 and John Collins, 14 informed that they had parked the bikes outside Kroger. Once they came out of the store, they did not find their bikes in a place where they left them. Accordingto them, on inquiring from the manager regarding the whereabouts of their bikes, he denied and proceeded to get aggressive with them.

Kroger’s 2nd Automated Warehouse has been opened up in Groveland on July 24th. The CFCs have robotic capabilities, with a ground area of upto 375,000 square feet. T/he CFC has cost Kroger, $55 million and is expected to create 400 jobs in the area.
