Enterprise License Prerequisites

Bakomatic is offered under an "enterprise license", meaning that your company will need a knowledgable technical staff that can install and maintain it on your own servers, or servers you lease from others. Your staff must be familar with basic tasks that range from system administration to general knowledge about the following:

  • Server Configuration

  • Backup Services

  • System Monitoring and Logging

  • DNS & Mail management

  • Database Administration

  • General Server Maintenance

  • General knowledge of HTML and XML

You will also need to have or acquire the following server environment and software. Note that most of the software is available for free, and anything that requires a license is extremely inexpensive:

  • x86 Server with 1 NIC

  • Redhat Enterprise Linux 4

  • MySQL 4.1.10

  • PHP 4.3.9

  • PHP-PEAR::Mail

  • Mailman 2.1.5

  • Apache 2.0.52
